Fun Facts
- Caesar can do many different disciplines. He jumps, and does dressage, Western pleasure, English pleasure, saddleseat, and barrel racing!! He has also been in some halter classes.
- When we got Caesar in November 2004, his name was Chester. But once we saw how regal and showy he looked, we decided he needed a more regal and showy name. We wanted to keep the 'C' beginning so he could learn his new name, so after much thought we came up with Caesar. My daughter Alison wanted to rename his Carpe Diem ("seize the day" in Latin). Now we joke that we "don't forgive what he did to Pompeii, and he should beware of Brutus and Cassius." When Alison's high school English teacher found out, he joked "don't ride him on the Ides of March [March 15]." If you don't follow the references to Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, you can ask the Shakespeare lover in your life, or see this website.
- Caesar is a purebred, as yet unregistered, Morgan gelding.
